GOLF: Kidderminster Golf Club champion John Rose tees off in the Midland round of a prestigious tournament at Forest of Arden, near Coventry, on Monday.
The 31-year-old, who plays off a one-handicap, will face a field of 83 club victors in the Jameson-Golf World Champion of Champions.
Rose is aiming for a top-five finish to win a final place over 36 holes at Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire, in August.
Twelve regional rounds are being held across the country.
