A CHANCE to see an "exceptional" programme from English National Ballet designed to showcase some of the best classical dancers in the world is marking a milestone for Malvern.

The ballet is coming to town tomorrow and Saturday to mark the fifth anniversary of Malvern Theatres' reopening after its major refurbishment in 1988.

Tour de Force 2003 comprises four short works, including two world premieres, showing off the talents of the most exciting choreographers and dancers in the country.

Young choreographer Noel Wallace's Hollywood Smash and Grab, which explores themes of terrorism, celebrity and art, set to music by Brian Eno, has been specially created for Tour de Force. The tour also includes the first performances outside London of 2 Human, a new duet by Wayne McGregor, featuring top dance partnership, husband and wife team Agnes Oaks and Thomas Edur.

Side Show is the ENB premiere of legendary choreographer Kenneth MacMillan's famous comic ballet originally created for dance legends Lynn Seymour and Rudolph Nureyev with a score by Igor Stravinsky.

Finally, Manoeuvre, by former company dancer and choreographer Patrick Lewis, promises to show off the wealth of ENB male talent in a display which explores the athleticism of both classical ballet and circus.

Tour de Force 2003 is performed in the Festival Theatre, Malvern, on April 25 and 26. Contact the box office on 01684 892277 or log on to www.malvern-theatres.co.uk.
