A NEW Droitwich company, set to bring at least 100 jobs to the town, has now pledged to offer financial support to Spa schools and voluntary organisations.

The Mortgage Group (TMG), which officially opened last Tuesday (March 25), announced its plan to provide computers for schools and cash grants for worthwhile causes.

Speaking to the Advertiser TMG sales manager Chris Cartwright said: "We want to give something back to the community, which has welcomed and supported us so much."

First schools in the Spa will have the chance to vie for the latest information technology (IT) equipment, to include an ongoing support telephone line.

Schools are being urged to write an application to Chris explaining why they believe they are eligible for the equipment. It will be shared between four schools.

Voluntary organisations are also being invited to write to Chris for the chance to get their cut of a generous cash grant.

The company has already taken on a full-time workforce of around 50 people and are looking to double that figure in the next four to six weeks.

However, Chris also revealed TMG plans to take on up to 40 part time members of staff in the coming weeks.

"So far things are going brilliantly, we have had tremendous support from the people of Droitwich and the calibre of applicants has been astounding," said Chris.

Droitwich is the third branch of TMG and offers house hunters advice on specialist mortgages. It will cover the Midlands region from Lincoln to South Wales.

"With our new office now operational, we are confident that we will generate sales of over £1 billion by the end of the year," added Chris.
