FOUR home games out of the next handful of Western Division outings could make or break Phil Mullen's bid for a top six finish.

The opening couple couldn't be harder with Redditch and Mangots-field the visitors to Common Road next Saturday and Tuesday respectively.

The Common Road chief was still bemoaning his side's inability to have sealed victory last Saturday as he revealed that former Solihull midfielder Gary Smith was the latest addition to his reshuffled ranks.

"I can't believe that we lost the match, it was a major disappointment," he admitted.

Looking ahead to the games head, Mullen was eagerly awaiting his side's next two outings.

"We've got something to prove in both games, " he declared referring to defeats in earlier league outings this season and especially last month's 5-0 hammering at Mangotsfield.

The two sides met at Cossham Street last weekend when a last minute equaliser denied Mullen's former club a fifth successive win.

"We've settled down a bit now after the mayhem of what I brought on myself, he said.

"There's still plenty to play for, our home form's not been too bad and we've also got a cup semi-final to look forward to."

The latter tie is the visit of Moor Green in the Worcestershire Senior Cup, a repeat of the 2001 final when Evesham lost out in the two-legged affair.

Sponsors for the next two home games are Redditch-based Reeves Supplies (Redditch) and P J Nicholls, Pinvin (Mangotsfield) with the respective balls being sponsored by Mr R Hawkins and Danespeed of Bilston.
