A SLIMMER shed pounds and raised cash for Acorns Children's Hospice Trust.
Hazel Ashby joined forces with a group of friends to vow to lose weight in a sponsored slim.
The Worcester Woolworths caf worker was helped all the way by generous bosses who stumped up cash for her efforts and helped her collect £350 for the charity.
"There were a number of employees who slimmed for charity, but Mrs Ashby raised the most," said a spokeswoman for the store.
"We will be doing more fund-raising events up until Christmas for Acorns as it is such a worthy cause."
Yesterday, the Evening News revealed that the charity's Three Counties Appeal had smashed through the £1m barrier, thanks to the generous fund-raising of readers.
