VOTERS are being urged to have their say in this year's Parish and District elections on May 1.

Wychavon District Council has been making a big effort to ensure everyone gets involved. Banners have been displayed in Pershore civic centre as well as the one-stop-shops in Droitwich Spa and Evesham.

The message has also been displayed on beer mats in local pubs.

Amanda de Warr, Wychavon's democratic services manager said: "We are publicising the event as much as possible so there's no excuse not to have your say."

Residents have also been offered the chance to take part in a postal vote.

They simply fill out a polling card sent to their home and return it to the council.

People do not need a polling card to vote but they do need to be registered.

If anyone is concerned about not being on the Electoral Register contact the council.

But it might be too late to take part in this year's vote.
