SKIPPER Sean Flynn admitted he was disappointed with his own display as well as the team's after Saturday's 1-1 draw with Lincoln.

The experienced 34-year-old went on to miss the game at Bournemouth after apparently tripping over a child's toy at his home in Bromsgrove.

But after Saturday's game he admitted Harriers had struggled to cope with Lincoln's long-ball tactics in the first half.

Flynn said: "The ball was by-passing us in midfield and we had to get it down and start passing through midfield.

"We did get into the game eventually but we can do 100 per cent better and that goes for myself as well. I was well below-par.

"I was probably trying to do more shouting than playing and that's frustrating. However, I have to get used to playing in the Third Division.

"It was disappointing after playing well against Cheltenham the previous week and outplaying them at times.

"It was a sloppy goal for us to concede but I believe there's a young set of lads here with great ability. I'm looking forward to the rest of the season."

Meanwhile, Drewe Broughton has fallen behind Ian Foster and Bo Henriksen in the penalty-taking stakes after the weekend miss.

But the confident forward insisted: "That was my fifth full game since we've been back in July and I haven't had a pre-season run like that since I was 18 or 19.

"For me, there's no excuses and I'm looking to be among the goals as well as playing well.

"The lads were great after my penalty miss and told me to get my head up.

"I won't be taking the next penalty and that's something you've got to accept as a player.

"I also had a header in the first half on goal which was poor from me. That was a chance my kind of player should finish.

"Lincoln deserved to be one up at half-time but we came back in the second half."
