MARK Clyde is ready to extend his loan spell with Kidderminster Harriers if Ian Britton can come to an agreement with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The defender has made a great impact since signing last month along with Wolves midfield team-mate John Melligan.

But Clyde will miss the final scheduled game of his loan spell on Saturday at home to Macclesfield as he is on Northern Ireland U-21s duty.

He has good memories from his time at Harriers to look back on though with the team unbeaten since his arrival.

And Clyde, 19, admitted: "It was my kind of game against Hull. A lot faster and stronger than the reserve games I have been used to in the past.

"Hopefully if something can be agreed then I will be at Kidderminster for a bit longer.

"I cannot get a first-team chance at Wolves at the moment which is why I came here."

The teenager has fitted snugly into the formation and declared: "We all know our jobs and we just get on with it.

"There's pros and cons with every formation and you just have to deal with it. Hull were playing 4-3-3 so it meant we were man-to-man at times."

And of the six bookings dished out, Clyde added: "I think the ref should have just told players to calm down at times as there wasn't really a malicious tackle there.

"It was always going to be a hard-fought game with all the hype of the old manager coming back."
