GOAL hero Andrew Bishop has promised to do his best for Kidderminster Harriers after giving fans a spectacular glimpse of his talents on Tuesday.

The 20-year-old from Walsall was only signed on loan the day before but went on to play a part in Bo Henriksen's first goal at Torquay United.

And then it just got better for Bishop as he bagged the equaliser with a classic header.

And, after making his sensational Football League debut, he admitted: "It was a bit nerve racking on the touchline waiting to go on but it felt good as soon as I got onto the pitch.

"It was just nice to get on and even nicer to score. That's my first league game and I want to do my best for Kidderminster now."

Bishop, a 6ft striker, has been a prolific scorer coming through Walsall's youth teams and has also found the net for the reserve side in the Avon Insurance League Premier Division.

He continued: "The keeper made a bit of a hash for the first one at Torquay and Bo put it in. It was great by Bo following up.

"I just carried on from there and the team started to play a little bit.

"In the end I think we had enough chances to win it. But it was a great game because both teams could have won it in the last 10 minutes."

And Bishop has certainly been made to feel at home in his short time at Aggborough.

He added: "I only came in on Monday and they are a great bunch of lads who made me feel welcome straight away."
