MATALAN'S new 34,000sq ft Redditch store is now open for business.
The Advertiser's competition winner, Carol Farr, of Studley, opened the Tunnel Drive store on Thursday alongside members of Redditch Special Olympics, the chosen charity for 2003.
Customers were greeted with a fanfare of fun and fund-raising activities including a children's entertainer, face painter and Mother's Day raffle.
The store, which boasts 200 free parking spaces, offers clothing for women, men and children including labels such as Falmer, Lee Cooper, Easy, Jeffrey Rogers and Wolsey and homeware including contemporary stainless steel and New England look kitchenware as well as bed linen.
