A WORCESTER accountancy firm has been asked to take part in a pilot scheme aimed at giving everyone a better quality of working life.

Rabjohns Business and Tax Advisers has been selected by the West Midlands Quality Centre to take part in the Work Life Balance pilot scheme.

The scheme is aimed at getting companies to offer family-friendly working conditions, such as flexible working hours for parents, and generally improve employees' well-being at work.

"Rabjohns Work Life Balance policies will be reviewed during interviews with team members during February," said Andrea Palmer, human resources director with the College Yard company.

Rabjohns adopted a Work Life Balance policy in January 2002.

The company reached the finals of the West Midlands 'Parents at Work' Employer of the Year award, backed by the Department for Trade and Industry, in 2002.

In October 2002, the company was awarded Investor in People status.
