IT seems beyond comprehension the council is not campaigning for the retention of the health centre in Malvern Link. There appears to be no reaction or concern about the implications that will result from this act of pure vandalism.
The inconvenience for the hundreds of elderly people based in the immediate area has already been debated in your columns. The outcome of this from the retail aspect is that, in all probability, two chemist shops will go to the wall.
While people have their prescriptions processed, customers often go to an adjacent shop and purchase other items. Malvern Link will be disaster area.
The decision-makers will ultimately be the health trust for the Worcester-shire area, remote people totally removed from the area with no knowledge of the end result.
Cannot the council become enlightened and hold a referendum of all the patients registered at the Link Health Centre to seek the opinions of the people?
