bidders at a charity auction could have a strapping Malvern firefighter painting their property.
Four firefighters have donated their DIY skills to be auctioned at a charity evening at Malvern's RSRE Club in Pickersleigh Road at 7.30pm on Friday, February 28.
They agreed to the sale to raise money for the children's charity Barnardo's.
The evening has been organised by Malvern firefighter Sean Hinton, who is taking part in a sponsored trek to the base camp of Mount Everest for the charity. He needed £2,750 of sponsorship to go on the trek and has raised this amount over the past 10 months. The auction will be his final fundraising effort before he leaves on March 2.
He said local businesses had been very generous donating bikes, computer systems, paintings and gym memberships.

Also helping on the night will be fire service band Velcro Fly and a disco.
