TAXI fares in the Malvern Hills district will be increasing from April 1.
The move was requested by the taxi trade and approved by the district council's executive board this week.
The fare for the first mile in normal hours will increase from £2.60 to £2.75, with the fare for late night, Sundays and bank holidays rising from £3.90 to £4. The fare for each subsequent one-fifteenth of a mile will remain unchanged at 10p for normal hours and 15p for late night, Sundays and bank holidays.
