RADAR fought back from 2-0 and 3-2 down to grab an injury time equaliser in the 92nd minute in an entertaining game at Victoria Park last Sunday.

MALVERN RADAR 3, THE BRIDGE 3

The Bridge started brightly and were passing the ball around with great confidence and it was no real surprise when they took the lead, Adam Jones guiding a smart header wide of Chris Ball in Radar's goal. It was 2-0 on 20 minutes with Radar still struggling to string two passes together. The ball should have been cleared but some hestitancy let in Steve Turberfield who showed considerable skill evading Radar's defenders before rounding Ball and scoring from a narrow angle.

Things were not looking too bright for the home side but they at last woke up and fought their way back into the game. Wing back Clive Churchill started things off showing great determination down the left flank before crossing a great ball onto Lee Brookes's head, who scored from close range. Radar pushed for the equaliser before half time but were denied by Bridge keeper Simon Tibke who did well to push away Duane Willis' effort.

The second half carried on the same way with both teams playing well. Radar finally levelled the scores on the hour when the ball was cleared to Phil Birch on the corner of the 18 yard box, he promptly looked up and crashed the ball into the top corner of the net.

Both teams fought for the winner and The Bridge looked as if they had won the game in the 88th minute when Leroy Williams crossed from the left and Mark Walker jumped high to head the ball in from 10 yards.

Radar piled forward in the closing stages but stout defending kept them out until the third minute of injury time when Gary Harman took a third consecutive corner in a minute. With numerous players in the six yard box the ball fell to Gary Burston who was absolutely delighted after somehow finding space to force the ball into the top of the net.

This Sunday Radar are away to Kays Athletico, meeting RSRE Club 9.30am.
