A LIFE-CHANGING experience is guaranteed for everyone who goes to see the master of mystical arts flexing his mental muscles in Malvern.

Uri Geller is confident that at least 98 per cent of the people who come to his show at the Forum Theatre on Saturday, March 1, will have their lives changed for the better.

He is also sure the vast majority of the children who attend will never smoke, drink or touch drugs after experiencing the power of his positive thought.

Whether or not he really does possess such powers, he has undoubtedly carved out a re-markable career for himself since leaving his birthplace in Tel Aviv. He said his mother had to endure eight abortions at the behest of his womanising father, and was forced to run away to have him in secret.

His apparent power to alter physical objects such as spoons with unseen forces catapulted him to worldwide fame and a friendship with singer Michael Jackson.

It was he who introduced Jackson to journalist Martin Bashir, setting up the most talked-about TV interview of recent times.

However, he said the "insinuations" at the end of the programme about sexual activities with children have left the star distraught.

"Michael is totally devastated," he said.

"Martin Bashir said he would make a constructive and positive documentary, and bring justice into the life of this remarkable man. He had no thought in his mind what would happen to my relationship with Michael."

Despite keeping such celebrated company, he is not above demonstrating the renowned telekinetic powers that got him where he is today.

In fact, he is keen for people to bring their broken watches and clocks to the Malvern Theatres show so he can "remind them of what made me famous".

He also promised to go out into the lobby afterwards to sign autographs, adding that anyone unsatisfied with the show can sell them on the Internet, where he says they fetch £100.

He will appear on Saturday, March 1, at 8pm. Tickets, priced £12.50 and £14.50, are available on 01684 892277 or at www. malvern-theatres.co.uk.
