THE Colwall Players' production of Dazzle, a spoof based on Star Trek took place last weekend at Colwall Village Hall. Adults and children alike enjoyed four performances. Those taking part were: Sue and David Jago, Anne Bridgens, Angela Meredith, Dianne Lloyd, John Denham, Andy Richardson, Imi Byers, Anna Byers, Steve Mellor, Jim Howden, Bettie Hedges, Lee Farley, Judy Roberson, Maryilyn Middleton, Harriet Duddy, Alice Holland, Rosie Buckland, Faye Smith, Harriet Smith, Hattie Lloyd, Genevieve Byers, Connie Pritchard, Thomas Pritchard, Chris and Nick Hetherington and Jake Buckall. The production was directed by Andrew Howie.
A presentation by the youth of Colwall is going to be held in the village hall on February 24 at 7.30pm. There will be displays, a buffet and a raffle. Tickets £1.50 adults and 75p children under 16. Children under six free. Telephone for tickets on (01531) 636611.
At St James' Church last Sunday a celebration of marriage took place. Couples who had been married at the church, people celebrating a special anniversary or those just wishing to say thank you for a relationship were invited to attend. During the service couples renewed their wedding vows and afterwards a wedding cake and sparkling wine was served.
Don't forget Colwall Players quiz night on Friday, March 7, at 7.30pm in the Village Hall.
The next meeting of the parish council will take place on Wednesday, February 26, at 7.30pm.
