WORCESTERSHIRE'S health chiefs have been subjected to heavy criticism in recent months, from politicians, GPs and the media.

Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Trust is heading for an overspend in excess of £6m this financial year, and auditors expressed their concerns about the situation in the Trust's annual audit letter last month.

Trust chairman Michael O'Riordan has now broken his silence to write to the Evening News, hitting back at his critics and accusing them of damaging morale.
