THE Prudden Road Surfacing League stages its annual general meeting on Tuesday February 25, at 7.30pm, at the Royal British Legion Club, Bidford.
This Mens' Doubles Summer League covers the South Warwickshire and district areas of the midlands and also runs a one-day tournament and an inter-league Charity Cup final.
All clubs wishing to enter the league in 2003 are required under the rules to send a representative to the meeting. Free refreshments will be supplied following the event.
Due to extra team applications it looks likely that the current format of three divisions will increase for the first time to four divisions.
The league continues to be backed by the Redditch company Prudden Road Services, who begin their seventh year of sponsorship and their second of a renewed five year contract to support the league financially.
Asphalt Express Redditch has also agreed to donate £50 cheques to each divisional winner, the proceeds to be used to promote junior tennis.
Tony King of Alcester has not only promised financial backing again for the annual floodlit tournament for the 13th year in a row but has increased the amount, and Keith Burke of Motorcaravan Sales, Studley, has again agreed to provide the tournament balls.
Any club requiring further details please contact the league secretary on 01789 778357 or email swastennis@aol.com.
