The spring talks programme at Wolverley Church Hall continues on March 10 with The Census of Religious Worship in 1851.
On April 14 Ruskin and Bewdley is the title of the talk, and The Life of the Carpet Children in 1842 will be presented on May 12.
The society is currently researching old Wolverley and Cookley families, having just completed transcribing the 1901 census.
A journal containing articles written by members, is published annually. Journal number 12 is now available, containing eight articles on varied subjects, including the lost monastery of the Ismere charter, conflict between the vicar and a wealthy parishioner in the 1880s and a look at a 1901 village tourist guide.
The journal is available from Fagins book shop, Kidderminster, or any society member.
Meetings are held from 10am until around noon, and new members and visitors are always welcome.
