In January Mike Wilks talked about the Defence of Worcestershire 1941-44, with photographs of local defence volunteers, Home Guard and Territorial units. Mr Wilks undertakes research for the Worcester archives, and spoke about Kidderminster wartime factories, Drakelow Tunnels and air-raid shelters.
The other January speaker was Dudley Martin, who described cheese-making at Lower Lightwood Farm, Worcester. Seven varieties of cheese are produced there, mostly being sold to farmers' markets or local outlets.
