COFFEE, cakes and crafts is an Areley Kings housewife's recipe for a sweet treat for charity.

Mother-of-seven Lynn Manville, of Redstone Lane, will be raising much-needed cash with a coffee morning in aid of The Meningitis Trust.

She will be making an assortment of treats as part of the charity's annual Coffee Break.

The 43-year-old, who has been raising cash for the trust for three years, said: "I would also like to invite people to hire a table for crafts they wish to display.

"Proceeds will go towards the charity."

She added: "I think this event is like a big coffee morning because we will also have face painting for the kids." Bradley, seven, Alex, 12, and Sophie, nine, with their mum Lynne Manville's baked goodies.

The staunch supporter of the charity is urging craft workers to contact her immediately if they want a guaranteed place at next month's event.

The coffee morning, which will start at 10am, on Saturday, March 8, will be at Astley Village Hall.
