GLORY boys Badsey United and Alcester Crosskeys were celebrating for very different reasons after Saturday's Stratford Alliance programme.

United inflicted only the second defeat of the season on runaway Journal Division leaders Campden Town while Crosskeys notched their 100th goal in the Cutler.

Andy Rogers scored twice for United and Steve Trotman chipped in. Campden's reply came from Rich Lewis.

The defeat enabled chasing Badsey Rangers and FISSC to close the gap to eight points. FISSC added to bottom club Bidford's misery with an 8-1 hammering, goals coming from Marco Pace (3), Rich Foreman (2), Simon Dixon, Will Thomas and Tony Roberts, with the solitary reply from Ian Wilson.

Rangers edged out Railway 3-2 with a brace from Dave Williams and one from Nick Sims. Railway replied through Craig Woods and Tommy Cromwell.

Kenilworth Town were Crosskeys latest victims and in the 13-1 victory their fourth goal, by Joe Walsh, took them to a century. Adam Phillips was in deadly form, hitting seven and the others came from Chris Wilkie (2), Joe Walsh, Rich Skan, Ian Sweeney and Ian Donegan..

Crosskeys now have six matches in which to beat Alveston's 1995/96 record of 135.

Long Compton enjoyed only their third win of the season in the bottom-of-the-table clash with Shipston Res. Paul Smith scored both their goals with Paul Jewett replying for Shipston.

Sportsmans have an unassailable 13-point lead at the top of the Herald Division after a 5-1 victory at Tysoe thanks to goals from Craig McSweeney, Adam Hill, Paul Brimmell and a two from Jim Brookes.

Second-placed Ilmington Revolution went down 4-2 at Caverdon, their goals from Mark Matthews and Matt Petty.
