CHAIRMAN Martin Saunders has admitted morale has shot back up after Bewdley quit North Midlands Three to return to playing friendlies.
The club were on the end of some heavy defeats with no wins at a competitive level and have decided to take a break while continuing their recruitment drive.
Bewdley's team spirit returned, according to Saunders, in Saturday's 17-0 friendly loss to Dudley Kingswinford thirds.
He said: "We were struggling for players and morale was plummeting. We weren't competitive and the other teams were so much better than us."
The club train at Bewdley Cricket Club on Wednesdays from 7.30pm and can be contacted on 07811 627919.
