A JOINT team from KD1 and KD21 won the trophy in the fourth season of the Kidderminster and District Cub Scout Football League seven-a-side contest.

The victors' Chris Harler was player of the year and team-mate Gary Wright was top scorer with 29 goals.

KD8 were runners-up and their player Jack Carpenter was given a best goalkeeper medal along with KD11's Gerard Kraemer.

The league was organised by Jim Clarke and refereed by Marcus Hart.

League positions: K1 and 21, 28 points; KD8, 22; KD11, 14; KD10 and 14, 8; KD6 and 15, 7; KD4, 4.

The champions will play a district team on Saturday, March 8, at 9.30am in Spennells alongside two supporting matches.
