A SPECIAL memorial concert is being planned in Evesham for the people who died in the M25 coach crash before Christmas. Mike Butler of Bretforton Silver Band is organising the event, and is keen to invite all those who travelled on the fateful Spring's coach - especially bereaved families.

Mr Butler said: "I would like bereaved families to contact me so that I may send them complimentary tickets." He said the proceeds of the concert on Saturday May 17 at the Methodist Church is to go to the County Air Ambulance. Mr Butler can be contacted on 07703343068.

The event for the six people who died last November after the local coach carrying more than 40 passengers crashed down an embankment before skidding about 50 metres and coming to rest in a field near Slough in Berkshire.

One of the owners of the coach firm, Graham Spring was killed as well as his driver and his wife Chris and Karen Sloane.

At the end of last year, WR Spring, founded 54 years ago, ceased trading. Pam Spring, who ran the company with her brother Graham said she could not carry on alone.

A three-day inquest into the deaths of the victims of the accident is due to start on April 9.
