I WAS disappointed to witness the loss of a Health Concern colleague on Bewdley Town Council, but I must admit to a wry smile at the comments of some councillors, yet again having a go at the party.
I am surprised we have not been blamed for the Third World debt!
If there is a demise of Health Concern councillors in the coming district elections, who will opponents blame then, each other?
Health Concern councillors have worked with great enthusiasm for the town despite accusations of just being put up to make up the numbers in the town council elections.
We have worked extremely hard to return the town to its residents, in partnership with various agencies and the police force - how nice it is to see them back on the beat in our town.
Residents can now walk through the town without being accosted by drunken youths and adults. Residents will soon have their own alcohol-free zone to increase their safety.
My question is, why has the town councillors' job been especially hard this year?
Can it be due to the problems we inherited from previous councillors from major parties who were only too quick to criticise present Health Concern councillors?
We will continue to work hard for the residents of Bewdley.
