GARDEN CLUB: At the January meeting, Christine Savage was presented with the shield as the winner of the 2002 monthly competitions (held at each meeting), Shirley Gobourn was second, whilst Diane Stacey had third position.
The guest speaker was Hilary Twigg, a lecturer at Pershore College, who spoke on 'Seed Propagation'. The competition of a photographic water feature was won by Diane Stacey, Shirley Dunlop was second and Christine was placed third.
The next meeting will take place on Monday at the usual time and venue when the speaker will be Tony Hamblin on 'Wildlife in Kenya'. The competition is a vase of snowdrops.
