NEW larger speed limit signs on Bidford Bridge are proving effective.
The 30mph signs on either side of the bridge, which were put up in December, are slowing traffic, making it safer for pedestrians and cyclists crossing the bridge.
Other signs warning motorists to be aware of children and cyclists crossing were also installed, while a 'weak bridge' sign was removed.
Another sign to show no through road for the High Street was also added along with one for people exiting the meadow, advising them of the right side to cross the bridge.
Bidford county councillor Peter Barnes said: "The signs certainly appear to be working and a number of people said they have noticed a difference."
