A SHARP frost and winter sunshine welcomed members and visitors to Throckmorton Clay Pigeon Shooting Club.
Encouraged by excellent conditions, entrants responded with superb scores all round.
Maximums were achieved by four competitors. Visitor Mark Doughty achieved a straight on the Skeet and Rod Davies achieved a straight on the Down the Line layout.
Club member Mark Baxter confirmed his obvious potential by scoring his first Skeet maximum and Alf Symonds set the pace with a maximum on the DTL.
A good day was enjoyed by the Smith Family, Pat and grandson Simon Jones, who both recorded 23 ex 25 on the Skeet, with hubby Brian recording 24 ex 25 on the Skeet and 72 ex 75 on the D.T.L.
The Sporting Layout challenged the club's top shots with Alan Ayres and Stuart Emms sharing the honours with 41 ex 50 followed closely by Jim Ford 36 / 50 and Dave Lindup 35 / 50.
