WE are all accustomed to watching repeat programmes on the television. I was surprised to find a similar situation in the Evening News letters page.
On Monday, December 30, George Cowley offered a typically rivetting piece concerning his method of payment of utility bills. The identical letter appeared on Saturday, January 4.
I do sympathise. The sheer weight of mail from this source must inevitably cause confusion. However, whatever happened in this case, I must protest.
Personally, I force myself to read George's letters. Over the years it has become a daily discipline, rather like the regular consumption of senna pods in previous times. To read the same letter twice, however, is too much to ask.
