ONLY four matches survived Saturday night's frost as the majority of Evesham Sunday League sides were left kicking their heels last weekend.

The solitary league match to take place saw Offenham Rovers extend their lead at the top of Division Two after a 5-1 defeat of Salford.

A hat-trick from the prolific Nick Burrows once again spearheading the home side's title challenge.

There was disappointment in County Cup competitions for two sides but the Red Horse moved into the third round of the Worcester Nursing Cup after a 5-4 penalty shoot-out success over Rednal.

Seemingly invincible in the league, Ambassador came unstuck in the WFA Minor Cup when losing 5-0 at Rock Sports and there was a similar tale of woe for Mickleton Rangers who crashed out of the Gloucester-shire FA County Cup 3-0 to FCC FC.

Results - Division One: Offenham Rvrs 5, Salford Rvrs 1. GFA County Cup: Mickleton Rgrs 0, FCC FC 3. WFA Minor Cup fourth round: Rock Sports 5, Ambassador 0. Worcester Nursing Cup second round: Red Horse 1, Rednal 1 (aet). Red Horse won 5-4 on penalties.
