Wing wizard Hodge was signed by Ian Britton on a non-contract basis in January after seven months out of the game.
But Hodge's experience stands him in good stead with 362 Football League appearances and 35 goals for Exeter, Swansea, Gillingham and Northampton.
He emerged from non-league Falmouth in 1991 and joined Exeter before embarking on a fine professional career, mostly in Division Two.
Noted for his dribbling and crossing skills on either flank, Worcester-based Hodge was released by Northampton, who had paid £25,000 for his services, at the end of last season.
He was at Worcester City briefly during pre-season but has otherwise just trained with Harriers in recent weeks.
