HEADSTONE inspections are being carried out in Edgioake cemetery, Astwood Bank.
The cemetery will not be closed for the safety inspections, which are expected to take about three weeks.
Redditch cemeteries and crematorium manager Stuart Connelly said any memorial which was found to be unsafe would be laid flat and the owner informed.
Next on the list of inspections is Abbey Cemetery and the work is expected to be carried out early this year.
Mr Connelly said he hoped the cemetery would be kept open while the inspections were carried out.
