STUDLEY wing wizard Mark Neath is getting ready for the biggest challenge of his football career.
The fiery wide man, plucked from Sunday side The Mayfly two seasons ago, is preparing to face former England winger Mark Walters when Studley host title hopefuls Willenhall next Wednesday (ko 7.45pm).
There is the small matter of the visit of league leaders Oadby on Saturday (ko 3pm), but Neath says he will relish the challenge of facing up to a player who won the Scottish title with Rangers before playing on the wing for Liverpool.
Studley gaffer Mark Chambers has admitted there is a lot riding on the cups for his side this season after settling into seventh position in the Alliance - six points shy of sixth placed Stratford, having played three games more.
But Chambers is training his sights on the league leaders on Saturday and has a welcome selection headache after the dramatic introduction of teenage sensation Junior Hewitt in the festive 4-2 win over Barwell.
Craig Pountney roared back into Golden Boot contention with a hat-trick and Hewitt added the fourth with his first touch after coming off the bench. The pacy 19-year-old joined Dr Martens League Western Division hopefuls Solihull Borough from Combination Division One side Pilkington but has failed to earn a regular place despite an impressive return of five goals in seven appearances - mostly as sub.
He is on loan at the Beehive and could start alongside Kevin Rowlands at the weekend.
Former Bromsgrove hitman Matt Coppin is due back from a three week holiday on Friday and could be in the frame along with fit-again defender Vaughan Thomas.
