ATHLETICS: Eddie Sanders collected the over-50s silver medal at the County Cross Country Championships in Halesowen on Saturday.
Andy Norris and Lindsay Pulley picked up bronzes in the over-55s and over-60s respectively.
Positions and times from championship race: Brian Humphries 29th, 47 minutes 41 seconds; Sanders 37, 49-42; John Amos 47, 51-05; Norris 61, 57-04; Roger Canavan 70, one hour -0-52; Richard Haynes 74, 1-2-51; Mike Warren 75, 1-4-19; Pulley 76, 1-4-42.
Humphries finished second in the inter-club race league event, finishing the final road race, the Wheaton Aston 10k, in 26th position in 37-48.
He was just behind Amos who recorded 37-58 in 27th position, while third in the league was Pulley (175th, 49-42).
Ruth Miles did not run at Wheaton Aston but had already taken the ladies' league title.
Other finishers: Richard Baker 131, 46-04; Canavan 149, 47-11.
Telford Christmas 10k results: Amos 40th, 37-46; Sanders 55, 39-09; Baker 132, 45-53; Irene Sanders 241, 55-42; Haynes 264, 57-57.
The club's annual presentation night will take place at The Briars on Friday, January 17, at 8pm.
