SWIMMING: Speedy Jodie Cook and Robert Smith gained first places swimming for Wyre Forest who finished fourth at the Crystal Diddy Meet in Wolverhampton.

Cook won the finals of both the 13 years backstroke and butterfly in the competition hosted by Stourbridge Swimming Club.

She also gained a bronze in the individual medley and freestyle as well as reaching the breaststroke final.

Smith won the 11 years butterfly, took silver in the individual medley and backstroke, and bronze in breaststroke and freestyle.

All swimmers were aged from 10 to 13 and events were held over 50 metres with 4x25m individual medley races.

Aimee Cook was narrowly beaten in both 11 years individual medley and butterfly, winning silver for both, and she reached the backstroke and freestyle finals.

Liam Garbett won silver in the 10 years freestyle and made the final in backstroke and butterfly.

Patricia Webb was also a medal-winner, taking bronze in the 13 years backstroke and competing in the butterfly finals.
