Records tumbled at the 2002 Age Group Championships at Redditch Swimming Club.

Sam Holtom and Jamie Mackay bagged gold in the 800m freestyle with silvers for Scott and Craig Newton and a bronze for Stuart Mackay.

Francesca Carlson won the girls race followed by Lisa-Marie Impey and Amy Edwards.

Jamie took gold in the boys 1500m free with Craig second and Stuart in bronze position.

Edwards claimed gold in the girls race.

In the 4x1 and 220yds Individual Medleys golds went to Nicola Strange and Suzanne Britt, Alex Munsey, Sarah Holtom and Laura Cranshaw.

Jessica Nice, Vicki Crisp, Francesca Carlson and Nikki Cranshaw each won silver, while bronze medals went to Sophie Parkins, Lucy and Amy Edwards.

Dan Ruckwood, Sam Holtom, John Slaughter, Matt Hooper and Paul Wilkes were gold medallists for the boys.

Silver medals went to Jack Eaves, Simon Whitmore, James Gifford, Scott Newton and Jamie Mackay. Bronze medals were presented to Liam Chapman and James Walker.

In the 400yds individual medley, gold went to Stuart Mackay and Jamie Mackay, with Craig Newton taking a silver. Sarah Holtom won gold in the girls race with Francesca Carlson winning a silver and Amy Edwards bronze.

The club continued their championships with a series of one length swims at Hewell Road Pool for the younger swimmers and 100yds races for the older squad members.

In the 8/U age 1L races James Green stormed to victory in the back, fly, breast and free. Daniel Strange won silver in the breast, back and fly, Lewis Biddle, silver in the free and Jack Eaves bronze in the fly.

Olivia Laxton won gold in the 1L breast, back and free for the 8/U girls whilst Sophie Parkins took gold in the 9/U 1L fly. Michaela Britt and Bethany Crumpton won silvers and Danielle Harwood bronze.

Jessica Nice won the 9/10 1L free followed by Nicola Strange and Suzanne Britt, while Dan Ruckwood won for the boys followed by Daniel Constant and Robert Stanley.

There was serious competition for the Parents 1L free with gold going to Paul May, silver to Mark Baker and bronze to John Crumpton.

Records continued to fall as the 100yds races got underway.

In the girls 11/12 age Alex Munsey won gold in the fly, back and breast, Vicki Crisp in the free. Silver medals went to Charlotte Cassidy-Morris and Nicola Perry with a bronze for Lucy Edwards in the breaststroke.

Robert Jolly, James Walker and Sam Holtom were gold medallists for the boys. John Slaughter and Daniel Anderson won silvers with Matthew Crowe and Scott Newton taking bronze.

Gold medallists in the girls 13/14 were Nikki Cranshaw with two and one apiece for Sarah Holtom and Lisa-Marie Impey. Charlotte Reddish, Francesca Carlson and Amy Edwards won silvers with a bronze going to Jennifer Fleeman.

Stuart Mackay and Matt Hooper won two golds each in the boys 15/16 age while Laura Cranshaw won three gold's in the girls age.

In the 17/O age gold went to Paul Wilkes, Jamie Mackay and Craig Newton with Rachael Jones winning gold in the girls 100yd fly.

Richard Davidson won gold in the 25/40 age 100yds free while Simon Leese took gold in the 41/O age followed by Jim Mackay in second place.
