ARTS THEATRE CLUB: At the last evening meeting of 2002, members were treated to a fascinating talk by Frank Townsend, entitled Compliments of the Season. This covered the history of the Post Office and examples of Christmas cards dating back to the mid 19th century were shown.

Members were reminded of the New Year Lunch to be held on January 26 at Vale Golf Club.

The next outing will be to Peter Pan at Birmingham Repertory Theatre on January 16, and the next evening meeting will be on Friday, February 21, at 7.30pm at St Agatha's Hall, when the speaker will be Nicholas Clark talking about Corsica.

CECILIAN PLAYERS: Are performing in Pershore Abbey on Saturday, January 25, at 2.30pm. Rutter's Suite Antique - Jenny Argent - flute; Saint Saens' Cello Concerto - Andrew Bound - cello; and Mendelssohn's Symphony No 4 (The Italian) are included in the programme.
