FORMER Hednesford Town boss John Baldwin has joined Kidderminster Harriers as an associate director.

Baldwin, who has attended Harriers' pre-season fixtures, is a long-time admirer of the work done at Aggborough.

The 48-year-old will take on a part-time and unpaid role after being voted onto the board at a management meeting.

A long-term friend of Harriers chairman Colin Youngjohns, Baldwin is a chartered accountant with a wealth of football experience.

He led Hednesford from the then Beazer Homes League Midland Division to third place in the Conference and an FA Cup fourth round place.

Youngjohns said: "I am delighted to welcome John to the club. He is an expert football administrator in all fields.

"He is also a football man whose expertise will help to keep the club ticking over at what is a testing time.

"John was financial director on the Conference committee and handled all their accounts.

"He can provide us with an overview of all facets of the game. He has managed a club, owned a club and has his own chartered accountancy practice."

Baldwin, who has not bought any stake in Harriers, left Hednesford at the end of last season after acting as an advisor since quitting as boss in December 2000.
