STOURPORT Swifts have a final in their sights with an intriguing Worcester Infirmary Cup clash at Bromsgrove Rovers tonight (7.45pm).

Swifts swapped places with former Conference club Bromsgrove when they were promoted from the Midland Alliance to the Dr Martens League Western Division at the end of last season.

But Rovers have built a strong side and are third in the Alliance, while Swifts are yet to win in a weather-interrupted New Year ahead of Tuesday's semi-final clash at the Victoria Ground.

The rain hit their plans again on Saturday when the big home clash with promotion-chasing Solihull Borough bit the dust.

However, the cancellation has given boss Tim Langford more time to chase new players with additions desperately needed to boost his wafer-thin squad.

A reported player exodus from Bilston Town may boost Langford's chances of signings after bosses Ken Drakeford and Steve Daley quit the cash-strapped Western divisioners.

He is looking at permanent and loan additions with another striker high on his shopping list to boost competition for places.
