KEY defender Craig Hinton is set to be missing as Kidderminster Harriers search for their first Division Three win on Saturday.

Harriers are back at Aggborough where they will be for the next three weekends as Exeter City, Darlington and Boston United visit.

But Hinton was in for minor surgery after fracturing his nose in an accidental clash with Onandi Lowe during Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Rushden and Diamonds.

The centre-back's likely replacement Lee Ayres has also had an injury scare and went for a foot x-ray this week.

However, boss Ian Britton's defensive headache has been eased by Abdou Sall's recovery from concussion.

Britton is looking for an attacking and defensive improvement from Harriers after losing at their rivals.

They defended nervously and failed to finish their chances against Rushden as well as having forward Drewe Broughton sent off for two yellow cards.

Britton said the players are determined to put that right at home to Exeter on Saturday.

It will put Harriers' home form under the spotlight where they claimed 45 of their 66 points last season, including 13 wins.

John Cornforth's Exeter, whose co-chairman is spoon-bending psychic Uri Geller, brought a few cheers from Harriers fans last weekend.

They claimed their first three-point haul with an impressive 3-1 beating of Jan Molby's Hull City.

Exeter have invested in experience this summer with the signings of former England international Lee Sharpe, ex-Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Don Goodman and keeper Kevin Miller.

Harriers travel to Leyton Orient on Bank Holiday Monday (3pm).

Tickets for the Worthington Cup trip to Nottingham Forest on Wednesday, September 11, are on sale from Aggborough.
