AN elderly man's £3,000 savings for a new artificial leg were stolen when his house was burgled at night.
The man and his wife, both in their 80s, were asleep in bed when the house in Greenlands Avenue was broken into overnight on December 18.
They discovered the theft in the morning.
A man has been arrested in connection with the burglary but police are still appealing for witnesses to call 08457 444888.
