CHRISTMAS is officially on the way for many families as Santa Claus limbers up for his annual rounds.

The annual charity Christmas float tour to raise funds for holidays for families in need starts on Sunday, December 8.

Kidderminster and District Lions, which organises the tour, is looking for volunteers to help out.

Lion Ron Cross said: "The tours bring happiness to lots of local families who say that Christmas does not start until the Lions have been round with Santa."

Santa will climb aboard his glittering float for the annual extravaganza which starts at Windermere Way, Stourport, on Sunday, December 8.

Monday, December 9: Bewdley Road, Stourport; Dec 10: Lickhill, Stourport; Dec 11: Marlpool, Kidderminster; Dec 13: Comberton, Kidderminster; Dec 14: Bewdley town centre; Dec 15: Walshes and Areley Kings, Stourport; Dec 16: Santa Maria, Stourport; Dec 17: Land Oak, Kidderminster; Dec 18: Franche, Kidderminster; Dec 19: Sutton Park, Kidderminster; Dec 20: Habberley, Kidderminster; Dec 21: Stourport town centre.
