CONSERVATIVE Party members attending the hustings to decide the ranking of candidates for the European Parliamentary elections to be held in June 2004 might find it useful to ask the following questions to identify the Eurosceptics to support.

1. Do you oppose in principle the introduction of the euro, and will you vigorously campaign to keep the pound in any euro referendum?"

2. Do you support the repatriation of the UK's fishing rights?

3. Will you vote to end the ties with the European People's Party?

4. Have you ever voted for any reductions in the EU Budget; say, to prevent Europhile campaigning groups from receiving public money?

Conservative Party members should weed out the Europhiles via this selection process, and ensure that dependable Eurosceptics committed to retaining the pound and keeping an independent Britain free of closer continental integration are chosen. The choice is in your hands.
