Evesham U-13 14pts,

Ledbury 10

EVESHAM started slowly and Ledbury capitalised with two early tries for a 10-0 lead.

Home spirits didn't drop and they gradually fought their way back into the game.

Winger Damien Scarpellini and player of the match Luke Ward began to cause havoc in the Ledbury defence enabling Gavin Pinchin and Adam Haig to cross the line. Both tries were converted by Luke Anderson.

There will be a training session on Sunday at 10.30am.

THE Under-8s were as formidable as ever as they held strong opposition to a draw to maintain their unbeaten record.

Captain Wil Taylor opened things up nicely by bagging a hat-trick, followed by the first of three from Jack Hughes.

Michael McNamara was impressive as he stormed his way through the opposition's defence.

Teammates Lucy Goddard, Connor McGaughan and Louie Sutton fought all the way, enabling a final two tries from Taylor and Ben Capaldi.

Chipping Norton 2

A MORE than respectable turnout of young players allowed the formation of two Under-7 sides.

The first, which included Michael Harris, Alex and Iain Stoddart, Joe Beirns and Owen Davies and captain Joe Taylor, showed no hesitation as they passed, tackled and ran their way to a tremendous victory.

Taylor crossed the line twice, with Harris close behind before the captain doubled his tally.

Not satisfied with that, Harris opened up and brought the home score to six.

CAPTAIN Adam Johnson, George Anderson, Ryan Lei-tch and Ryan Nisbett joined Beirns and Davies for a second match.

Despite two fantastic tries from Beirns and some assertive tackles from newcomer Ryan Nisbett, the boys were unable to overcome strong opposition.
