REDDITCH skipper Stan Hull says his priority is the league ahead of this weeks North Midlands Shield opener at Tenbury.

The Kingfishers visit lower division Tenbury in the cup on Saturday (ko 2.30pm) and will hope to avoid becoming another higher division scalp for a Powergen North Midlands Two side who knocked Alcester out of the Junior Vase.

But Hull says he is not concerned about knockout competitions in the wake of his side's first league win at the weekend.

The Kingfishers are still second from bottom but neighbours Five Ways Old Edwardians, beaten 27-8 on Saturday look certs for the drop after seven straight league reverses.

The Kingfishers have a result to build on but will have to lift their game against more sides with the rest of the league likely to take four points off the struggling Masshouse side.

Redditch have lost to everyone else apart from leaders Solihull and mid-table Upton - who they have yet to face, and Hull will be more hopeful of taking points off the latter.

Full back Wil Wilson is the only doubt for Saturday's Shield trip after injuring a hamstring at the weekend.
