THIS year's Bewdley Carnival raised £700 despite clashing with World Cup football, it has been revealed.
The money raised by the event, held on Saturday, June 15 - the day of England's second round 3-0 victory over Denmark - has been donated to 12 organisations.
Following the carnival association's annual meeting Angela Pitt remains secretary while Doreen Davies is chairman, Paul Gittins vice-chairman and Fiona Yeates treasurer.
New members are welcome to join the committee.
