Tim Munslow of Oakstone Classics, Worcester, related the Confessions of a Record Dealer on November 8.
Mr Munslow told how he developed an interest in music, why he bought the business and recalled some experiences during the last 17 months.
Chopin music was played by Vladimir Ashkenazy and Murray Perahia. Mr Munslow was once asked for a recording by the pianist Maria Prior. Eventually he realised they meant Mr Perahia.
Recordings of music by Tchaikowsky, Faure, Glass and Glazounov were played, there was an extract from Ludovico Einaudi's Eden Roc, and an item from Mr Munslow's favourite CD - Angela Gheorghiu singing Tatal Nostru with the Romanian National Choir.
The recital by Sarah Beth Briggs will be held in Kidderminster Library tomorrow evening, despite the lift not being in use if the fire service's strike proceeds. Anyone concerned about ascending the stairs will receive assistance and extra time, with the recital being delayed, if necessary. Contact Von Stewart on 01562 755990, or Kidderminster Library on 01562 824500.
