Kim Hurst, from the Cottage Herbery, Boraston, was the guest speaker at the October meeting.
She told members about many herbs, with the help of slides.
On Tuesday, Mr Thorold will talk about Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. The competition will be for a picture, or model, of a dog.
The meeting, at St Anne's Middle School, will start at 7.30pm.
Visitors and new members are always welcome.
